Finally Anthony found out that Kai is not his son.😱
Anthony: (shaking his head, voice low)
"I just... I can't believe this. How did I not know, Kai? How long have you known? How long have you been keeping this from me?"
Kai: (looking down, trying to avoid eye contact)
"I didn’t know how to tell you, Dad. I didn’t want to hurt you. It... it wasn't my choice, okay? But I had to know. I had to figure out who I am."
Anthony: (pauses, taking in the news, trying to keep his composure)
"All these years, Kai. All these years I thought I was your father. I raised you. I loved you like you were my own. How could this happen? How could they let me believe that?"
Kai: (his voice shaky)
"I didn’t ask for this, Anthony. I didn’t know either. It wasn’t like I had a choice. It just... it just happened. And I didn’t want it to change anything. You’ve been my dad my whole life."
Anthony: (finally looks at him, tears welling in his eyes)
"And what now, Kai? What am I supposed to do with this information? Does it change everything? Does it change how you feel about me?"
Kai: (softly)
"I don’t know what it changes. I really don’t. But you’re still my father. You raised me. You taught me how to be a man, how to stand up for myself. That’s what matters, right?"
Anthony: (sighs, shaking his head as he sits down on the couch, rubbing his face)
"I feel like my whole world is flipped upside down. All these memories, all these moments... they don’t feel the same anymore, Kai. I don’t even know what’s real anymore."
Kai: (sits beside him, voice tentative)
"I get it. I get it, Anthony. But... nothing changes between us. I’m still your son, no matter what."
Anthony: (tears slip from his eyes, he looks up, voice hoarse)
"You don’t get it, Kai. It’s not about that. It’s about trust. All these years, all that time... I feel like I’ve been living a lie. How do I even... how do I even trust anything now?"
Kai: (takes a deep breath, tries to find the right words)
"Look... I’m sorry. I didn’t ask for this either. I never wanted you to feel like this. But you taught me that trust isn’t about blood. It’s about the bond we have. And that’s real. And that’s never going to change."
Anthony: (sniffles, looking over at him)
"But I don’t know if I can go back to normal, Kai. I don’t even know what normal is anymore. My whole life... has it all been a lie?"
Kai: (softly)
"I don’t think your life has been a lie. You loved me, and I loved you. I still do. That’s what’s real. Everything else... we can figure it out together, but the bond we have, that’s not fake."
Anthony: (closes his eyes for a moment, taking in the weight of everything)
"I just need time. I need time to process this, okay? This isn’t something I can just... accept right away."
Kai: (nods, his voice filled with understanding)
"I get it, Anthony. I do. I just... I didn’t want to lose you."
Anthony: (gives a tired smile, a bittersweet one)
"You won’t. But we both need to figure out who we are now. This... this is going to take some time."
Kai: (nods, swallowing hard)
"Yeah. I know. But I’m here. And I’m not going anywhere."
That’s a pretty emotional scene! It would be tough for both of them to come to terms with this new reality. Do you think there would be more twists in their relationship? Or do you think they’d start rebuilding right away?
Anthony: (voice trembling, still in disbelief)
"I... I don’t understand, Kai. How could you hide this from me? How long were you going to let me think everything was fine?"
Kai: (eyes darting around, clearly avoiding the question)
"I wasn’t hiding anything, okay? I didn’t know what to say! It’s not like I had a choice in any of this."
Anthony: (leaning forward, voice rising)
"But you knew! You knew for how long, Kai? A year? Two years? And you just let me keep living this lie?"
Kai: (pauses, swallowing hard, then looks Anthony in the eye)
"I found out... about a month ago."
Anthony: (staring at him, stunned, a mix of anger and betrayal rising in his chest)
"WHAT? You knew for a MONTH, and you didn’t say anything? You just kept pretending? Why didn’t you tell me then?"
Kai: (nervous laugh, trying to hold it together)
"I didn’t know how. What was I supposed to say, huh? ‘Hey, Anthony, I found out I’m not your son after all, but I still love you, like, is that supposed to fix everything?’"
Anthony: (hands shaking, standing up abruptly, pacing back and forth)
"No, no, no… this isn’t how it works, Kai. This is huge. This isn’t some minor thing we just brush under the rug. This changes everything. Everything we’ve ever known."
Kai: (gripping the back of the couch, trying not to crumble)
"I didn’t want it to change anything. I didn’t want you to look at me differently. I didn’t want us to fall apart."
Anthony: (stopping mid-pace, his expression darkening)
"Fall apart? We are falling apart! Can’t you see that? Everything we’ve built together... all of it is shattered."
Kai: (voice cracking, his eyes darting to the floor, but he holds himself steady)
"Anthony, please. I’m still the same person. It’s still me. I’m still your son. I need you to understand that."
Anthony: (his voice is low, almost a whisper, filled with raw emotion)
"I don’t know if I can. After everything... all the years we’ve spent, how can I trust anything anymore? How can I look at you the same way?"
Kai: (steps forward, his voice urgent, pleading)
"You have to! You have to believe me! It wasn’t my fault. I didn’t ask for any of this."
Anthony: (eyes narrowing, his tone colder now)
"But you didn’t tell me, Kai. You could’ve told me sooner. Why wait? What’s the real reason you kept this from me? Was there something you were hiding? Something you didn’t want me to know?"
Kai: (a moment of hesitation, his breath catching in his throat, but then he shakes his head violently)
"No! No! There’s nothing else! I swear to you, there’s nothing else!"
Anthony: (voice suddenly rising with suspicion)
"Then why, Kai? Why didn’t you tell me the second you found out? You said it yourself — you knew for a month. A month, and you said nothing. What’s the truth here, Kai?"
Kai: (his face goes pale, and he backs up a step, his voice shaking)
"I... I couldn’t. Because there’s more. There’s something you still don’t know."
Anthony: (freezes, eyes narrowing in disbelief)
"What more, Kai? What else is there? What are you hiding from me now?"
Kai: (glances away, his words barely above a whisper)
"I wasn’t supposed to find out. No one was supposed to know. They told me not to tell you, Anthony. But it’s not just that... it’s who I am. It’s who I really am, and you... you might not even recognize me anymore."
Anthony: (steps forward, demanding now, voice filled with raw anger and hurt)
"What do you mean? Who else is there to know, Kai? Who are you really?"
Kai: (takes a deep breath, eyes locked on Anthony’s, his face pale as he opens his mouth to reveal something even darker)
"I... I wasn’t born Kai. My real name... my real name is Isaiah. And I wasn’t supposed to be with you. I’m not even supposed to exist in your life."
The room goes completely silent. Anthony’s heart races as he tries to process what Kai just said. For the first time, it feels like the truth has shifted into something unrecognizable...
Anthony: (his voice a mix of confusion and horror)
"What... what do you mean, you weren’t supposed to exist? What the hell is going on, Kai?"
Kai: (his eyes filled with a mixture of guilt and fear, his voice barely audible)
"Someone made a mistake. There’s more to my story than you ever realized. And if I tell you, Anthony... everything changes. Again."
This twist leaves the door wide open for even more mystery, and it makes you wonder what exactly happened to get Kai (or Isaiah) into this position. There are so many questions left unanswered. Would Anthony be able to handle this second shock, or will this revelation shatter everything completely?
