Finally Anthony convince Amber not to divorce😱
Setting: Evening. Their home is quiet, dimly lit. Amber has just returned from speaking with her lawyer. Anthony stands by the window, nervous, holding a photo of the two of them from happier times.
Anthony:
Amber... can we talk?
Amber (tired, distant):
We’ve talked, Anthony. So many times. I don’t even know what else is left to say.
Anthony (steps closer, voice soft):
Then let me say what I should’ve said a long time ago. Please... sit with me. Just for a moment.
Amber (hesitates, then sits down slowly):
Fine. One moment.
Anthony (sits across from her, his voice trembling slightly):
I know I’ve failed you. I’ve made mistakes. I was blind to what you needed, and I thought love was just about staying, not evolving. I was wrong.
Amber (crosses her arms):
You didn’t just fail me, Anthony. You stopped seeing me. We became strangers. I cried myself to sleep more nights than I can count.
Anthony (his eyes water):
I know. God, I know. And I hate myself for every tear I caused. But losing you—almost losing you—woke me up. I saw our life without you in it. And I can’t do that. I won’t do that.
Amber (shaking her head):
You say that now, but what happens when things get hard again? When the routine sets back in? You’ll drift. Like you always do.
Anthony:
Not this time. I’ve been seeing a therapist, Amber. For the past few weeks. Alone. Because I needed to face the parts of me I kept avoiding.
Amber (surprised):
Therapy?
Anthony:
Yeah. I had to understand why I kept shutting down... why I didn’t show up the way you needed me to. And I’m not saying a few sessions fixed everything, but it’s a start. I’m doing the work, Amber.
Amber (tears welling up slightly):
Why now, Anthony? Why did it take almost losing me for you to wake up?
Anthony (painfully honest):
Because I was selfish. I assumed you'd always be there. I took your love for granted. But the moment you said the word "divorce," it felt like my entire world cracked open. And I realized—my life isn’t a life without you in it.
Amber (softly):
I needed you so badly, and you weren’t there. Not for the miscarriages. Not when my mom passed. I was screaming silently, and you... you barely noticed.
Anthony (voice breaking):
I hate that I failed you in those moments. I was scared. I didn’t know how to be strong for you, so I shut down. But you deserved better. You always have. And I want to spend the rest of my life being better—for you, with you.
Amber (looking down):
I’m so tired, Anthony. Tired of trying to fix us alone.
Anthony (takes her hand gently):
You won’t be alone anymore. I promise. No more empty words. No more silence. We go to therapy together. We rebuild. Brick by brick. I know it won’t be easy, but nothing worth saving ever is.
Amber (searches his eyes):
And what if I’m too broken? What if I can’t trust you again?
Anthony:
Then I’ll earn it. Every damn day. I’ll prove to you that this marriage isn’t just salvageable—it’s worth fighting for. You are worth fighting for, Amber. You always have been.
Amber (long pause, a tear falling):
I still love you... but I don’t know if that’s enough.
Anthony (voice steady):
Then let me help you believe again. Not with promises. With actions. Please, Amber. Don’t walk away—not yet. Give us one more chance. One real, honest, fought-for chance.
Amber (finally, slowly nodding):
One chance. That’s it. No more lies. No more distance.
Anthony (relieved, moves closer):
No more anything that makes you feel alone. I’m here. Fully. Finally.
Amber (leans into him, whispering):
Then let’s fight for us.

Amen! Thank you, Jesus. See, vows are worth saving your marriage. So happy for you two. Keep the fight, no matter what. Please!
