AMBER AND ANTHONY ON A DATE SHAYYLA CAUGHT THEM🤯

Scene: A cozy little café with warm lighting. Amber and Anthony are seated in a corner booth, laughing and sipping iced lattes. Suddenly, the door opens—Shayyla walks in, freezes mid-step, and stares.

Shayyla: (voice raised slightly) Oh. My. God. AMBER?!

Amber: (startled, turning toward the voice) Shayyla? Wait—what are you doing here?

Shayyla: What am I doing here? What are you doing here—with him?

Anthony: Shayyla, hey… can we not make a scene?

Shayyla: Don’t “hey” me. Don’t even speak to me right now. Amber, are you seriously sitting here on a date with my ex like it's totally normal?

Amber: Shayyla, it’s not what it looks like—

Shayyla: No? Because from here it looks like y’all are sipping lattes and giggling like a couple on a damn Hallmark movie. So go ahead, explain.

Amber: Look… I didn’t mean for it to happen like this. I was going to tell you.

Shayyla: WHEN?! After the wedding?! After y’all moved in together? After you posted matching Halloween costumes?

Anthony: Okay, this is getting out of hand. We just started talking a few weeks ago. It wasn’t planned.

Shayyla: Oh, “wasn’t planned”—Anthony, you dumped me not even two months ago, and now you're dating my best friend?

Amber: Shayyla, we haven’t been close like that for a while. Be honest.

Shayyla: Wow. So now we’re rewriting history to make it easier for you to sleep at night?

Amber: No! I just mean… things have been distant between us. I didn’t plan to catch feelings for Anthony. It just… happened. We were talking, and it felt natural. I didn’t want to hurt you.

Shayyla: But you did. You knew this would hurt me. And you did it anyway. That’s not love, Amber. That’s betrayal.

Anthony: Shayyla, I’m sorry. I didn’t think it would go this far, and I should’ve been more honest. But you and I ended for a reason. This isn’t about you anymore.

Shayyla: Oh, it’s absolutely about me. Because both of you made choices that involved me, and not once did either of you have the decency to talk to me first. Amber, you were supposed to be my friend.

Amber: I know. I messed up. I didn’t want it to be like this. I should’ve told you the minute I started catching feelings. But I was scared.

Shayyla: Scared of what? Losing me? Guess what—you lost me anyway.

Amber: Shayyla, please don’t say that.

Shayyla: Why not? It's the truth. Friends don’t sneak around behind your back with people you loved. And Anthony, don’t act like you're innocent in this either. You knew what this would do.

Anthony: I'm not pretending I'm perfect. But I moved on. And Amber makes me happy.

Shayyla: Then be happy. But don’t expect me to clap for you while you dance on the ashes of my trust.

Amber: I never wanted to lose you. I’m sorry.

Shayyla: Sorry doesn't fix betrayal, Amber. You can keep your coffee and your new man. I’m done.

(Shayyla turns and walks out, leaving Amber sitting in stunned silence. Anthony reaches across the table, but Amber pulls her hand back and stares at the door Shayyla just walked through.)

Amber: What have we done?

Scene: Rooftop bar at night. The city glows below. Amber and Anthony sit close, whispering and laughing. Suddenly, an elevator dings behind them. Footsteps.

Shayyla: (coldly) Don’t stop laughing now. I’d hate to interrupt something so hilarious.

Amber: (whirls around) Shayyla—what are you doing here?

Shayyla: Funny. I was just about to ask you the same thing.

Anthony: Shayyla, this isn’t the time or the place.

Shayyla: Oh, no? Then maybe you shouldn’t have left your location on. Rookie mistake. Or was that on purpose?

Amber: Wait—you were tracking us?

Shayyla: Oh, don’t play innocent. I knew something was off. Late-night “group projects,” deleted texts, sudden distance. I just needed confirmation.

Anthony: You shouldn’t be here.

Shayyla: Neither should you—with her. Tell me, Anthony, was this happening before you broke up with me? Or just conveniently right after?

Anthony: I didn’t cheat on you.

Shayyla: No, but you moved on like you were waiting for the green light.

Amber: Shayyla, you’re upset. I get it. But this didn’t start while you two were together.

Shayyla: And I’m just supposed to believe that? After everything? After I told you every secret, every fear I had about him—and you used that like an instruction manual?

Amber: It’s not like that.

Shayyla: Really? Because it feels exactly like that. I told you I felt him slipping away. And suddenly you're texting him late at night. Helping him “understand his feelings.” Let me guess—he was confused?

Anthony: Don’t twist this, Shayyla.

Shayyla: I’m not twisting anything. I’m uncovering. There’s a difference.

Amber: What are you saying?

Shayyla: I'm saying I know more than you think. You thought you could hide this, didn’t you? But you slipped. Both of you.

(Shayyla pulls out her phone and taps it. A voice recording begins to play — Anthony's voice.)

Anthony (recorded): “She doesn’t even notice. I could be with Amber right in front of her and she’d still be asking me if I’m okay. It’s pathetic.”

Amber: (eyes wide) You recorded him?

Shayyla: Damn right I did.

Anthony: You’re insane.

Shayyla: No. I’m thorough. And vindictive. But never insane. That’s your word.

Amber: Shayyla… I didn’t know he said that. I swear—

Shayyla: No. Don’t swear. Not to me. Not anymore. You were supposed to be my safe place, Amber. And now? You’re just another liar wrapped in fake smiles and borrowed perfume.

Anthony: We’re done here.

Shayyla: Are we? Because I sent that recording to myself. And to a few other people who might be very interested in hearing how you really feel about them. Including your boss.

Anthony: You wouldn’t—

Shayyla: Try me.

Amber: Shayyla, please. You’re hurt. Don’t ruin your own peace for him. He’s not worth it.

Shayyla: You're still defending him? After that?

Amber: I’m not defending anyone. I just—I didn’t want to lose you over this.

Shayyla: You already did. The question is: how much more are you willing to lose for him?

(Silence hangs heavy. Amber’s eyes brim with tears. Anthony looks cornered. Shayyla, composed but trembling with fury, slowly turns to leave.)

Shayyla: Enjoy your rooftop romance. But remember—everything looks pretty from up high… until it falls.

(She walks into the elevator. The doors close with a ding.)
